RequirementsResponsible for rendering professional care to patients undergoing gastrointestinal endoscopy procedure within the Center, in accordance with established procedures. Functions cooperatively with physicians and staff exhibiting teamwork characteristics.
Position description:Daily: Answer and respond to all questions from staff. Handle escalated telephone calls/correspondence that staff cannot handle. Identify research, resolve and communicate client/state specific issues or problems to departments and managers. Answer all overflow patient calls. If applicable, Bill Stat Report Communicate any information/issues to the employees. Resolve Hospital /Doctor's procedures billing concerns. Counsel employees on collection related matter.
General Duties:Monthly: Order supplies, Close out at end of month Send reports to collection agency. Identify and communicate employees performance issues or problems to management. Conduct job specific training and identify/communicate training needs to the Quality Assurance Trainers. Gives and receives assistance to all levels of employees including client managers and private offices. Communicate issues/problems between departments to staff members. Must maintain a thorough knowledge of all telephone and correspondence procedures as well as all applicable technical systems. Provide assistant to client managers. Ensure diagnosis or procedures codes are correct. Provide and receive assistance on special patient issues, coding, insurance carriers.
Specialized DutiesMinimum Requirements:
- Must Have prior experience resolving unpaid and denied insurance claims.
- Knowledge of procedure and diagnostic coding.
- Judgment and problem solving skills required.
- Knowledge of Third party pay or regulations desired.
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Prior Medical Billing experience required
